TSP Trivia #1
Are you paying attention? So a little while back I posted the name of “Fuzzy Wenzel” iconic 1979 Fender Stratocaster. Do you know what the name of the guitar is and where the name comes from? Get this right and I’ll send you the new Sugar People album Sugaroses Collection.

Ray Stable Review #0010
“take a break” is pretty epic - nice touch with that (organ?) solo coming in toward the end… like some sweet middle ground between Stevie Wonder and Gomez - lotta interesting things happening throughout this record - i wasn’t sure what to expect…whatever it was i expected, maybe pop-rock?…was turned on its side… there’s subtle shades of soul and...

Ray Stable Review #0009
After listening to this album I found myself reflecting on other concept albums that bands have released. Dark Side of the Moon…etc.. Without bringing the negative vibes that “mainstream” brings along with it, I see this body of work as a very polished mainstream album but with a HUGE difference. It has soul. Where concept albums have been reserved for the pop rock genre for as...

Ray Stable Review #0008
Sounds professional. It’s really my style. Love it. Cool. Vocals sound great. Good tone. I can’t really pick out who you sound like. Really good tunes though. Instrumentation is very good. Guitars are sweet. Production is high quality.

Ray Stable Review #0007
I like most everything about this. I readily admit that I’m not as up on this type of music as I should be. I’d be willing to make a bad guess and say your sound is close to Moby, but feel COMPLETELY free to disagree. The vocalist knows what he’s doing rhythmically. The mood feels free and easy and I’m a bit of a purist, so anytime you want to toss the turntables,...

Ray Stable Review #0006
It sounds like Portishead music with the lead singer from 311 on vocals. Club mood, like SF mission area. Hints of St. Germaine in the music.

Ray Stable Review #0005
Full marks have to go to this artist for originality. A great blend of loops, acoustics, and ingenuity. First-rate vocals and harmonies, framed solidly in deeeeep production. If I had to pick influences, I’d have to say that if OMD from the ‘80’s met Moby, it might sound something like this. Well done.

Ray Stable Review #0004
Infectious grooves and lush, atmospheric melodies punctuate a skillfully crafted production that draws you into each song. The compositions range from celebratory to melancholy and dark and at times, all three. Although tied together as a concept, each song of The Ray Stable Story easily stands on it’s own. While listening to the tracks, I couldn’t help but visualize a film with these...

Ray Stable Review #0003
Ray Stable story is pretty sweet. I really like the combination of soulful grooves and electronics. To me, it represents that you’re not resigned to sounding only one way and that your talents extend over a broad spectrum, a sign of true talent. I totally dug on the 70’s feel of “45”. “Glimpse of an afterlife” is beautiful…I could make love all night to...

Ray Stable Review #0002
“The Ray Stable Story,” is a combination of beautiful story telling and musical arrangement. Jeff Wenzel and Jacobe prove to be a songwriting team that can compete with the best of them. “Take A Break” is a sonically dreamy wave of freshness and the album as a complete work from the first note to the last leaves the audience down a winding road of emotion.
