“Under the Covers” spawned out of The Sugar People hosting a Thursday Night Music Club at their studio in Detroit, MI. Each week the core members invite different musicians to come and play their instruments. How the songs are chosen? Well, that the fun. Nobody knows what the group is going to be working on until they are set up and ready to play. Sort of a “Iron Chef” secret ingredient play on the music club idea. Each week a new song will be available as a free download. This week is TNT by AC DC

The Fender Rhodes is a staple to the Sugar People sound.  So when ours literally caught fire one day in the studio my heart was devastated.  Then GBS had the band Tokyo Sexwhale in the studio and Matt Wilken turned me on to this great piece of gear from Speakeasy Vintage.  It’s a pretty simple piece of gear that has brought our Rhodes back from the dead.  I can’t wait to use this next week with our Thursday Night Music Club.
